Bee Free Outdoors will guide you through the process of preparing sati babi on the pellet grill, allowing you to recreate this mouthwatering delight in the comfort of your own backyard. Get ready to tantalize your taste buds with tender, smoky, and flavorful pork skewers.
This recipe for Sati Babi marinated pork skewers on pellet grill was a huge hit, and super easy to make with minimal ingredients. These skewers are only cubed pork shoulder on a stick, I didn't add any veggies or pineapple. Sati Babi is a Filipino pork kabob served on a stick.
For this recipe changed up the marinade and used Bachan's Original Japanese Barbecue Sauce. I will definitely make these again and if you have not tried Bachan's BBQ sauce now is your chance. Bachan's is an amazing savory sauce and worked perfect as an overnight marinade. So, fire up your grill and enjoy.
Prep time: 30 minutes and marinade over night in refrigerator.
Cook time: Until pork reaches a minimum internal temperature of 145°
Ingredients for Sati Babi
Pork shoulder - I used about a seven-pound shoulder. Cut into one-inch cubes.
1 cup The original Bachan's Japanese BBQ sauce - Bachan's BBQ sauce
1/2 cup Soy sauce
4 Tsp Minced garlic
1 Tsp Black Pepper
Sati Babi Marinade
In a bowl combine cubed pork shoulder add Bachan's BBQ Sauce, soy sauce, minced garlic, and pepper. Let marinade over night in the refrigerator.
If you are using wooden skewers soak in water for a minimum of 30 minutes before putting your cubed pork on a skewer.
Grilling the Sati Babi to Perfection
Place pork cubes on skewer and then put directly on your grill grate at 250° until internal temperature reaches 145 degrees. I put these on my Pit Boss 820 pellet grill. At the end of my cook, I turned up the temperature to 350° and opened the sear plate and got a nice char on the pork.
Serving and Enjoying the Sati Babi
Remove the sati babi skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve the skewers as an appetizer, snack, or main course alongside steamed rice and a side of peanut sauce for dipping. Garnish with chopped scallions or cilantro for a fresh touch.
Savor the Flavorful Delights
Making sati babi at home is a fantastic way to experience the bold flavors. With a few simple ingredients and a grill, you can create these irresistible pork skewers that are sure to impress your family and friends. So, fire up the grill, marinate the pork, and get ready to savor the delightful fusion of flavors that sati babi offers. Enjoy the journey of creating this mouthwatering dish.
